Can anyone tell me anything about the 24-hour coin laundromat at Juliet St. and the Blvd of the Allies in Oakland, particularly their rates? Or if it has a real name, for that matter, ha.

Pitt is having its graduation this weekend (with smaller departmental ceremonies starting tomorrow), so traffic around the Oakland area is going to suck. Be warned!

The City of Pittsburgh has announced a route for the funeral procession for the public memorial service to be held this Thursday, April 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Petersen Events Center for the three City of Pittsburgh police officers killed in the line of duty this past Saturday.

There's an article in the Post Gazette today concerning pedestrian safety in Oakland. Apparently cops were all over the place handing out citations left and right to cars and supposedly to pedestrians as well. This is where I'm confused. I am looking for a shop to slightly shorten straps on a dress and no more than that. I think that tailoring should cost between $30-40 (cheaper would be wonderful).

I find the idea of living in one of those houses down in Panther Hollow kind of appealing, but I've never talked with anyone who's actually lived there. Is it noisy from students who live nearby? Are the trains overwhelming?
